I've spent almost 20 years working as a video technician in live events — mostly large custom screens and LED walls for conventions, galas, and award shows. If you've been in this industry a while, you know the feeling: the show has to go up, it has to go smoothly, and half the time the tool you actually need doesn't exist yet.
AVTechKit started because I kept hitting that same wall — a real gap between what a show needed and what was actually out there. So I started building the tools myself. Timer Tools, Blend Tools, and now Playback Tools all came out of that same place: a problem I ran into on a real job, that I figured other techs were probably running into too.
This is a one-person operation, built around a more-than-full-time AV career. Development happens in whatever hours are left over — so updates come when they come, but I do read everything that comes in.
Found a bug? Have an idea for a feature? Something not working right on show day? Send it my way — I want these tools to actually hold up under real show conditions, and that only happens with real feedback from techs using them.
